The Yakima Beer Float is an event quite different from our typical river trip, though we all look forward to it just the same. Here are the photos from this year’s float.
The best way to describe it is to picture a flotilla of 30 2-man Sevylor rafts filled with sunburnt people and beer. This event even has its own official website, beerfloat.org, where you can get a sense of the full experience in detail.

Our annual Beer Float with the msnbc.com gang down the Yakima River.
We generally extend the trip by staying a night on the river and float the lower section.
